Psalm 40:3 3. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
I’m all about good gospel music! I love it, I play it, I sing it, I record it and I even write it! I love the old hymns of the past with their flare of Old English rhyme and rhythm. I love the new songs written well that challenges & encourages my walk with Christ. I simply love good gospel music!
Then I read “new song in my mouth,â€Â  …  at first glance Psalm 40:3 seems to be addressing this passion of mine. Wow I just love new songs!  …   But that verse goes on to say “Many shall SEE it!â€
Did you catch that? Look real close, it doesn’t say “HEAR it,†it says “SEE it!â€
What I draw from this little observation is; “Having a verbal song of praise is good,â€Â  …  But  … having a song of “PRAISE FROM MY HEART†that others can see is a far more rewarding experience!
My “Verbal Song†is from myself to Him  …  But my “Visible Song†is from myself as a witness for all to SEE!!
Thought for today  …  “What song do others “SEE†us singing?
