View the SHC 2014 Year In Review

Expansion. Adaptation. Innovation.

These words, in many ways, defined 2014 for Signature HealthCARE. The Revolution brought our total number of locations to 125. We welcomed new centers to the family and took pivotal steps to position SHC as an integrated care network capable of meeting health care needs across the full spectrum of care. We expanded into new business lines while continuing to enhance and invest in existing service offerings.

Happy Veterans Day From Signature HealthCARE

This Veterans Day, Signature HealthCARE would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our nation’s military veterans, and those still actively serving. We especially want to thank all of our residents and stakeholders who served our country.

Happy Veterans Day from the Signature family to yours.

October was a busy month!

During this past month, PCR has participated in The Black and Gold parade, attended their annual campout, enjoyed a trip to Autumn Acres, and hosted the annual Hall of Frame.

They wrapped up the month with a fun filled Halloween, starting with trick-or-treating goblins from the local kindergarten, first grade, and home school children.

In the afternoon, they celebrated with a huge Halloween/October birthday party.  I attribute the days success to our thoughtful and devoted staff who participated in creating clever costumes for the elders and themselves, as well as their help and involvement in the day’s events.

PCR Elders and Staff enjoy a campout at Standing Stone State Park

Elders Virginia Evans, Charlene Masiongale, and Pauline Reeder, as well as many other elders from several Signature Healthcare facilities had a great time at their Annual Elder Campout.  They enjoyed a cookout, sang around the bonfire, and played games until bedtime, all while making new friends.

Pickett care and Rehab hosted a Hall of Fame Café

The purpose of the Hall of Fame program is to recognize the outstanding accomplishments and experiences of the center’s residents. Employees, volunteers, and community members are also honored for their contributions to the home and society as a whole.

This year’s honorees for Pickett Care and Rehabilitation Center were:

  • Outstanding staff member Betsy Mullins
  • Resident Mary Deisenroth
  • Community member Bill McQuestion

“We stand to learn so much from the lives of our residents, and we would be remiss not to share these stories with as many people as possible,” said Administrator/CEO Jeff Amonett. “We’re proud to celebrate the accomplishments of these individuals, and we’re grateful to the community for supporting this event.”
